It is the mission of the Stroudsburg Fire Department to provide an
environment and
social
framework in which
the lives of the citizens and the property of individuals and business establishments are
protected
from
harm or damage through Fire Prevention, Fire Education activities and aggressive Firefighting
performances
in conjunction with upgraded fire equipment, ameliorated training and command enhancements.
Our volunteers will function as first responders to both medical and
fire related
incidents.
They will carry
out duties equivalent to their training in all fields. The department will also provide
assistance
whenever
and wherever possible, with any other emergency situation that may arise.
